Children’s Sessions

Children’s sessions will be held every other week in the Church hall. They start promptly at 5.30pm and finish at 6.30pm. Please ensure you are there to pick up your child. Attendance is compulsory.

Sunday Mass Attendance

Children are expected to attend Mass on Sundays or Saturday evenings. Children will need to bring up their holy picture and give it to Fr when they come up for a blessing so we can check them off the attendance list.

For Queries and Support

If there is anything we can do to support, please do not hesitate to contact Catherine (our lead catechist olofstmfhc@outlook.com) or Fr Bogdan (harlowolf@brcdt.org).

Parent sessions

There will be at least three parents sessions throughout the year. These are compulsory for at least one parent to attend.

Book Donations

We ask for a donation of £25 to cover the cost of your child’s FHC book as well as other provision for the year. This needs to be paid at the first session.

Online Quizzes

There is a compulsory quiz for your child to complete for every chapter of the book. Children are expected to complete the quiz each week between sessions. Quizzes can be found by clicking on the links at the bottom of this page.

Welcome to the First Holy Communion Programme 2025/2026. We will be using the book I belong,  and this section of the website offers additional resources to help you and your child get the best out of the book and the sessions. There are summaries of the chapters, questions you might like to use as well as videos to watch and helpful prayer reminders.
