Building Repair Fund
OLF – 64 years old this year!
Church buildings, like people and their homes, need constant attention to ensure that the fabric is in good condition and that health and safety issues are addressed. We want to keep the two churches in our parish as a living and dynamic vehicle of praise to our God in Harlow.
We have been maintaining things over the years, trying to improve the and maintain the buildings as best as possible, without having to raise any funds for any major restorations works.
We have now come to a point in its life where the buildings need some serious and expensive work done. There are three items which require attention over the next three years. As you see, they are all “ Big Ticket” items.
Here are the immediate projects:
- New roof for OLF – £250,000
- Replace spire and install cross and orb – £300,000.
- Repair to Nave and Transept roof – £200,000
We are asking for volunteers to come forward in order to set-up a fundraising committee. If you have administrative, marketing or fundraising talents and plenty of enthusiasm and love of this beautiful church then WE NEED YOUR HELP!
